Two (2) Vintage Antique Porcelain Bisque China Head Dolls 9” with Cloth Body
These dolls were found in a friend’s estate after his passing at 100 years of age. They’ve been stored away for many years. I’m not a collector or professional appraiser, so I will attempt to describe them the best I can. These dolls are possibly German dolls, but I could not locate any markings from a manufacturing company.
Both have porcelain heads, arms, hands, lower legs, and feet. Both of them appear to have cloth bodies.
The doll with the brown floral dress has a bisque color face with black hair, blue eyes, rose color blush, and lip stick. This doll is complete with both hands and both feet. It appears to have black boots painted on. The dress is in good condition, although it does appear to have vintage fading. This doll has a petticoat and bloomers that are made of cloth and has crocheted accents. The petticoat and bloomers appear worn.
The doll with the red and white checkered dress has a porcelain head, arms, lower legs, and feet. It appears to have black boots painted on. The right porcelain hand is broken off and missing. It too has a cloth body. It has a bisque color face, black hair, blue eyes, and lip stick. The dress appears to be in good condition. This dress will need some sort of closure added in the back to keep the dress on.
