    Description

    This is a very nice  GONCALO ALVES
    (astronium fracinafolium) aka.Tigerwood
    back and side set for building an acoustic guitar.
    This an excellent tonewood with beautiful striped coloration, which resembles the stripes of a Tiger.
    Very fine, even grain with silky smooth texture.
    This is a beautiful, resonant wood, with strong well balanced tone.
    Loud, ringing taptone with nice sustain.
    The tonal quality is somewhere between Koa and Indian rosewood.
    Bends easily and finishes nicely as the pores are extremly small.
    The measurements are as follows: back boards (each half)  8.5" x 21.5" x .130+"thick. The sides- 5" x 32.5" x .130+".
