We work hard to develop unique and useful luthier tools and guitar gizmos.  And we've been developing this item for quite some time.  We are extremely happy to offer our guitar Nut Slot File Kit for 6 String guitar. It is intended for use with any guitar nut material from soft plastics to brass. Its easy, its quick and IT WORKS!
The NSFK Bass utilizes a single specially modified jeweler’s saw and 6 serrated saw rods of hardened stainless steel. And since each rod is round,
your slot is round-bottomed - perfect for supporting round guitar strings
.
It's very easy to use.  All you do is lock your nut blank in a vise, load each rod into the saw handle one size at a time, and you’re off and running. Rod 1 works for the high E thru Rod 6 which works for the low E. Each rod has a minimum of 1 1/2" of serration. More than enough for a healthy stroke and safe cutting.
Saw Rod diameters are approximately:  .06", .05", .04",  .03",  .025" and  .02"
