Antique Hertwig Pet Name LowBrow China Doll w/ Gusseted Leather Body 18". Condition is "Used".
This doll has a great face and head- her face paint is pretty strong but she has some spots that might be rubs or just dirt that needs a little scrubbing. Her hands are bisque with a little material missing on the underneath of her right hand, specifically her ring and pinkie fingers. Her body is gusseted leather with the criss cross tabs sewn around her shoulders. This obscures her shoulder plate but I was able to pull the tabs apart enough to see she has the molded blouse with a gold colored collar familiar to the Hertwig Pet Name Dolls, but I will not damage the tabs in order to see her name. Because she is gusseted her knees can bend. Her dress is antique and in good condition. Her only flaw besides age is her right leg, which has come apart below the knee and needs reattached. She is stuffed with sawdust.
