    Description

    Beautiful antique German Kister covered wagon shoulder head china doll c1850.
    The doll features a gorgeous glaze and her coloring is superb. I can only find one tiny little pin point sized spot of paint wear which is found on her hair. the doll is free from cracks or repairs and has only one tiny little pinpoint sized mark, (Which looks like a manufacturing mark) on her right inner cheek. Her lower neck has two small superficial dark marks and there is a dark superficial mark on the back of the shoulder area. Please see photos for further details.
    The doll's body is cloth stuffed with part of her arms being stuffed leather. The body is in very good condition. There are a couple of areas that have been mended. She wears cotton pantaloons and two slips, one which is lace edged. Her dress is made of fine cotton gauze and she wears a lovely cotton pinafore with lace and pintucks. Please note that the doll's dress does show some wear, holes and tearing. Please see photos for further details. The doll measures 16 1/2" in height.
