In 1949 Cadillac introduced a new motor to the Series 62, the 331ci overhead-valve V8. This new motor was often paired with a four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission like this example. Reports claim the new engine setup brought this land yacht of a vehicle up to 60 in around 16 seconds when new.
Old Cadillacs are some of the most beautiful and recognizable classic cars. Whether it is the fins in the later years or the swooping body lines of the 40s, classic Cadillacs will always be appreciated for their exceptional designs. This Series 62 remains in great condition as the pictures show. The paint shows very well. The interior is a beautiful red/white houndstooth print with a black dashboard, chrome accents, and red carpet. Cosmetically this vehicle is in good condition, it also runs exceptionally well. It starts right up, idles, and shifts smoothly.
